The Dallas Cowboys remain on top of the NFC East in the real NFL, but also on top of the entire NFL against the spread (ATS). They are the only team that is undefeated ATS and bettors have continued to ride them out. According to Sports Betting Dime, 84% of bettors took the Cowboys over the Vikings in week eight at 2.5 point favorites away from home. Usually a home underdog in the NFL is something bettors look towards for an opportunity but the population still went with the Cowboys. However, in the over under, the Cowboys are tied for overs hit and their record is 5-2 and 64% of bettors took the over against the Vikings. That ended up not working out partly due to a backup quarterback playing for them.

The Philadelphia Eagles were bet on 47% of the time in week eight against the winless Detroit Lions at 3.5 point favorites away from home. The Eagles covered just like the Cowboys did. Both of these teams have broken trends in the betting world this week. The Eagles are 4-4 ATS according to Team Rankings.

Washington is 1-7 ATS and this week against the Broncos as 3 point underdogs they were picked 63% of the time. They have the worst record ATS in the NFC East as well as the entire NFL. However, they are 4-4 and middle of the pack in the NFL at hitting the over in their games. 63% of bettors picked them to go over in their game against the Broncos.

The New York Giants are 4-4 ATS and are in the middle of the NFL in that regard. They were picked only 23% of the time to cover against the Kansas City Chiefs despite the Chiefs being 2-6 ATS. This is due to a number of factors but mainly due to the Chiefs poor start to the season and most bettors expecting a comeback game.
